Travel and lifestyle accessories brand Uppercase has made a significant impact on sustainability by recycling over 16.31 lakh (1.63 million) plastic bottles and 5.67 lakh (567,000) polycarbonate mobile cases in 2024. The initiative is part of the brand’s commitment to reducing waste, cutting carbon emissions, and promoting eco-friendly production.
According to Uppercase, its recycling efforts saved an estimated 129,874 kilograms of CO2 emissions and 28,709 liters of oil, significantly lowering the environmental footprint associated with manufacturing new materials. These measures align with the company’s commitment to fostering a circular economy where waste is transformed into valuable resources.
They are a part of an RCS-certified Ethical Manufacturing Ecosystem, recognized for their commitment to sustainability. Their adherence to the Recycled Claim Standard (RCS), the benchmark in Sustainability certification, ensures that every step, from raw material recycling to finished product, meets rigorous protocols. “Each product we make is an expression of our concern for the planet. Not only are our products made from recycled plastic, our strict protocols in energy management or waste disposal and no use of hazardous chemicals help our products be GRS-certified.” stated the brand.
By emphasizing sustainability, the company hopes to inspire more businesses and individuals to take meaningful actions toward reducing waste and conserving resources.
