The UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT) has announced the creation of the Reuse and Recycling membership category in an attempt to encourage circularity, growth, and innovation in the UK fashion and textile industry. Textile collectors, sorters, graders, mechanical recyclers, upcyclers, and recycling innovators are the target audience for this new membership category. By providing advocacy, strategic guidance, and specialized resources to promote circular fashion solutions, this new category aims to support businesses in the textile recycling and reuse sector.
UKFT’s partnership with ACT UK (Automatic-sorting for Circularity in Textiles) and CFIN (Circular Fashion Innovation Network) has created a strong foundation for advancing circularity in the UK fashion and textile industry. Through these programs, UKFT has created a broad network of interested parties committed to promoting trash reconsideration and innovative material reuse. UKFT also just launched a new partnership with the Textiles Recycling Expo in an attempt to promote additional collaboration between legislators, corporate executives, and sustainability advocates.
By adding the reuse and recycling sector to its membership, the organization is demonstrating its commitment to environmental responsibility and business expansion for the whole fashion and textile supply chain in the UK. This new category aims to provide participants with the tools, knowledge, and networks they need to thrive in a changing market.
