To reduce environmental damage caused by traditional leather production, the company converts discarded leather into recycled leather. Toforto has created a proprietary method that improves the durability and tensile strength of its products. Out of more than 9,000 enterprises, Toforto recently shone out in South Korea’s small company support programs, earning a place in the Top 7. Additionally, it took home the 2024 Global Design iT Award and Good Design Korea. The handbags are the result of a partnership between a 36-year-old craftsman, a 40-year-old production expert, and a CEO with 24 years of design experience.
The brand also hopes to improve K-fashion’s reputation by bringing sustainable methods to the global fashion industry. Toforto intends to take part in prestigious international fashion shows in 2025, including Mipel in Italy and Coterie New York in the US.
