Thyssenkrupp Reorganizes Steel Division Management Amid Leadership Changes

Düsseldorf, Germany – Management of Germany´s Thyssenkrupp will propose reorganizing the steel division after several board members quit over heavy losses from an initial plan to split it, business daily Handelsblatt reported. The changes arrive at a time when the crisis-ridden industrial group is mired in internal discord over leadership transitions.

Dirk Schulte, former Chief Human Resources Officer of the energy company Enercity The new Chief Production Officer is Marie Jaroni. The appointments are due to be approved by an extraordinary Supervisory Board meeting on Thursday. Thyssenkrupp has not responded to the latest developments.

Bernhard Osburg, CEO for Steel, resigned amid a conflict with Group CEO Miguel Lopez and two other board members — all of whom also stepped down. Meanwhile, Dennis Grimm, a supervisory board member at Thyssenkrupp, has taken on the position of CEO of Thyssenkrupp Steel Europe temporarily.

This reorganization is part of Thyssenkrupp’s efforts to stabilize its operations and address ongoing challenges within the company’s steel division.
