The Arab Development Establishment (ADE) and Schneider Electric have officially inaugurated their joint venture manufacturing facility, TAQANA Energy Solutions, in Abu Dhabi’s Industrial City. The opening ceremony was attended by key dignitaries, including government officials and industry leaders, and aligns with the UAE’s “Make it in the Emirates” initiative.
His Excellency Omar Al Suwaidi emphasised the importance of public-private partnerships in achieving national sustainable goals and strengthening the UAE’s global industrial position. Yousef Mohamed Al Nowais, Chairman of ADE, highlighted the facility’s role in supporting sustainable energy solutions and advancing the UAE’s vision for local production.
TAQANA will manufacture advanced energy solutions, enhance in-country value, and provide training programs to develop local talent. Amel Chadli from Schneider Electric remarked on the facility’s significance in promoting sustainable energy innovations in the UAE. Mohammed Ali Al Kamali from the Abu Dhabi Investment Office noted that this investment is crucial for establishing Abu Dhabi as a leading sustainable industrial hub.
