The world-renowned crystal house Swarovski and Coty, one of the biggest beauty companies in the world with a portfolio of iconic brands in skin and body care, have announced a long-term beauty license agreement that will allow Coty to create, manufacture, and market a new line of fragrances.
The alliance combines Coty’s beauty expertise with Swarovski’s crystal craftsmanship, seeking to create unique beauty products. With 2,300 boutiques spread across more than 140 countries, Swarovski will use this collaboration to expand its brand awareness in the beauty sector and introduce its pop luxury aesthetic to the sector. The relationship matches with Coty’s strategy of focusing on licensing with multi-category potential and will target important countries in EMEA, the Americas, and Asia. It is anticipated that the first merchandise under this licensing arrangement would be released in 2026.
Michele Molon, chief commercial officer at Swarovski, said: “Partnering with Coty is a significant step for Swarovski as we continue to expand our brand into new product categories. This partnership allows us to bring Swarovski’s unique positioning of ‘pop luxury’ – a luxury that is creative, fun, colourful and joyfully extravagant – to the world of beauty and fragrances whilst leveraging Coty’s extensive industry expertise.
Swarovski has been actively engaged in sustainability projects, including as minimizing its environmental impact and sourcing materials responsibly. This partnership may offer a chance to highlight these initiatives and have an impact on Coty’s own sustainability policies. Coty could leverage Swarovski’s supply chain expertise to ensure the ethical sourcing of ingredients for their beauty products. This could include prioritizing fair trade practices and minimizing the use of harmful chemicals. The collaboration could explore opportunities for recycling and repurposing materials used in the production of beauty products which would reduce waste and promote a more circular approach to manufacturing.
