In response to the fashion industry’s climate crisis, Yoox Net-A-Porter (YNAP) announced several new members joining its Fashion Leap for Climate educational project, which was started in 2022 in collaboration with About You and Zalando. Cascale, a non-profit global alliance, also joins as a strategic partner, offering the programme to select members of its global apparel and consumer goods network.
The goal of Fashion Leap for Climate is to assist fashion firms in assessing their own carbon footprints and establishing goals that are consistent with climate science. In addition to receiving detailed instructions on how to implement such initiatives, participants in a free eight-week instructional course also get access to sustainability specialists and collaborative tools.
British e-tailer Asos, Swedish footwear retailer Boozt and the Selfridges Group, the parent company to Selfridges, Arnotts and Brown Thomas, are those named as the most recent participants in the programme.
The program’s current partner network, which consists of about 100 brands, is expanded by the most recent three additions. Each brand will receive industry insights and collaboration opportunities related to the effort. In addition to adding value through its community of more than 300 enterprises to boost awareness, Cascale brings in an additional 25 new participants from its own network.
