Schneider Joins Messika

Messika, the prestigious French luxury jewellery house, has appointed Edouard Schneider as its new Chief Brand Officer, effective immediately. This strategic move aims to strengthen the brand’s global presence.

Schneider will oversee Messika’s communications, brand image, and international activities, including public relations, celebrity partnerships, events, social media, visual merchandising, and brand representation across the brand’s key markets in New York, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Dubai. He will report directly to founder and creative director, Valérie Messika, and will join the global leadership team.

With over 20 years of experience in the luxury and fashion industries, Schneider brings a wealth of expertise. He previously served as Global Communications Director and Head of the French Division at Acne Studios, where he was also part of the Executive Board for over six years. Schneider’s career includes senior roles such as Global Public and Press Relations Director at Louis Vuitton and Chief Communications Officer at Maison Margiela.

Being a graduate of ESG Business School in Paris with a Master’s in Marketing and Communication, Schneider’s strategic vision will support Messika’s ambitious international expansion. His ability to merge creativity with strategic insight is expected to enhance the brand’s presence worldwide, reinforcing Messika’s reputation for excellence and innovation.

Valérie Messika’s journey is deeply rooted in her family’s legacy. Growing up as the daughter of renowned diamond dealer André Messika, she developed a deep passion for diamonds and a vision to create jewellery that was both modern and timeless. In 2005, she founded her brand with the aim of liberating diamonds from traditional settings, designing pieces that could be worn daily and reflect personal style. Messika quickly gained recognition for its innovative designs, incorporating moving diamonds and sleek, contemporary lines. Today, the brand is a global leader in luxury jewellery, blending Parisian chic with modern elegance, with flagship boutiques in major cities worldwide.

Commenting on the appointment, Messika said: “I am delighted to welcome Edouard as a key member of our executive management team. His dynamic energy, extensive experience and deep understanding of the luxury industry come at a pivotal moment for Messika as we expand our international footprint. Edouard’s global expertise, particularly in Asia, will be instrumental in driving growth in these strategically important markets. Throughout his career, Edouard has consistently demonstrated an exceptional ability to design and execute innovative communication strategies with a global impact.”
“His leadership, combined with his experience in fashion and luxury, will continue to accelerate the jewellery house’s expansion and solidify our distinctive image in the industry while strengthening the allure of Messika jewellery and high jewellery,” Messika added.

The appointment of Edouard Schneider marks an important milestone in Messika’s growth, further expanding its international footprint. Schneider’s leadership will be instrumental in honouring the brand’s heritage while steering it towards a bright future in luxury jewellery.

In addition to its commercial success, Messika has shown a strong commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. The Messika Care(s) collection, launched in 2024, continues to support the Valérie Messika Foundation, which funds initiatives for women and children, including the Saksham programme in India. In 2023, Messika introduced a collection to benefit women in Lebanon, donating €100 from each piece sold to provide hygiene kits via the CARE NGO. Furthermore, the brand has embraced environmental responsibility, partnering with Andre Messika Diamonds Ltd to introduce CarbonVero, a tool that tracks the carbon footprint of natural diamonds throughout the supply chain, from mining to polishing.

Recently, Messika introduced an innovative new service in partnership with the German start-up Lunu Pay, allowing customers to make secure cryptocurrency payments in just a few seconds. Available at boutiques across the United States and Europe, as well as on the brand’s online platform, this service allows customers to make swift and secure payments using a wide range of virtual currencies.
