Sae-A Trading, the global clothing manufacturer, has joined the Fashion Forever Green Pact, a global FSC initiative that unites fashion leaders in fostering sustainable forest management. As a voluntary participant, Sae-A Trading aligns with this industry-wide effort to protect forests and promote responsible materials sourcing.
The Fashion Forever Green Pact promotes apparel companies using forest-based materials like wood and rubber to shift towards FSC-certified sources for regenerated fibres like rayon, modal, and lyocell. The FSC label assures that forest resources are responsibly sourced, making these products a reliable choice for forest conservation.
In line with the Pact, Sae-A Trading aims to expand its use of FSC-certified fibres, including modal and viscose, across core production lines. With oversight of its entire supply chain—from yarn production to final product delivery—the company is positioned to lead sustainable material adoption across the industry, meeting the needs of brands seeking verified sustainable products.
Sae-A Trading’s Vice President, Saila Kim, highlighted the limited domestic adoption of FSC-certified fibres and stressed the need for broader industry acceptance. “Using FSC-certified products goes beyond sourcing sustainable materials; it plays a crucial role in preventing deforestation and protecting biodiversity,” said Kim. “As part of our ESG management, Sae-A Trading is committed to utilising these certified products to boost sustainability in fashion and support ecosystem preservation.”
Through these initiatives, Sae-A Trading aims to combat deforestation, which threatens biodiversity and the livelihoods of indigenous forest communities. The company reiterated its commitment to building an eco-friendly value chain, producing organic and recycled certified products, and evolving as a leader in environmental protection and social responsibility.
Additionally, Sae-A recently tripled its production capacity and broadened its yarn range by completing a third spinning mill in Costa Rica. (1)
