Recycled Yarn, Renewed Future

RE&UP, a circular tech company specialising in textile-to-textile recycling, has entered a strategic collaboration with Marchi & Fildi, a leading textile group known for sustainable yarn production. Together, they are developing a new line of high-quality recycled cotton yarns, currently in the pre-industrial phase.

This partnership combines RE&UP’s cutting-edge recycling technology with Marchi & Fildi’s deep expertise in manufacturing eco-friendly yarns. The joint initiative is pivotal in advancing circular innovation across the textile value chain.

At the core of the project are recycled cotton fibres derived from RE&UP’s fully integrated process, which transforms post-consumer textile waste into high-grade raw materials ready for industrial use. By aligning their strengths, the two companies aim to create scalable, high-performance solutions that elevate sustainability standards across the sector.

“Partnering with Marchi & Fildi means joining forces with a company that shares our commitment to quality, innovation, and circular transformation. This collaboration allows us to push the boundaries of what’s possible with recycled cotton fibres and move one step closer to making next-gen yarns a scalable reality for the entire industry,” said Marco Lucietti, Head of Global Marketing and Communications at RE&UP.

“The evolution of our yarns from recycled fibres requires continuous investment in technical expertise and advanced technologies,” added Alberto Grosso, Business Development Manager at Marchi & Fildi. “What truly makes the difference are synergies with partners like RE&UP, who share our vision of quality and circularity, opening new opportunities for joint development.”

These collaborations are not merely advantageous—they are critical in accelerating the shift towards a genuinely sustainable fashion industry. By combining technological innovation with manufacturing expertise, partnerships like that of RE&UP and Marchi & Fildi close the gap between concept and large-scale implementation.

Such alliances enable the development of circular solutions that are not only environmentally sound but also commercially viable and industrially scalable. In a sector frequently scrutinised for its ecological footprint, these collaborations drive systemic change—minimising waste, conserving resources, and redefining standards for responsible production.
