The Manchester City football team and sports company Puma have partnered to introduce a cutting-edge AI kit design platform that allows supporters to create the team’s official third uniform for the 2026–2027 campaign. Using text prompts, customization options, and user-friendly sliders, fans can design their ideal Manchester City uniforms with the new Puma AI designer tool, which is powered by the co-creation platform DeepObjects.
Ivan Dashkov, head of emerging marketing tech at Puma, stated: “Puma AI Creator is a creative outlet that anyone can use regardless of their past design experience, location, or background– to make a huge cultural impact, in this case, designing the official 2026/27 Third kit for Manchester City. Together, we are intentionally creating innovative and inclusive ways to engage with fans.”
Puma is encouraging City supporters to use the new platform to express their love for their football team by creating a distinctive uniform design. The winning AI design will be sold to fans and worn by City players on the field, according to a statement from Puma. Puma and Manchester City kit specialists will shortlist the top 10 designs submitted by fans by December 20th, along with fan ratings. In January, Puma will ask supporters to vote for the uniform they would want to see on the field.

PUMA AI Creator was officially launched on Monday, December 9th, and fans can submit kit designs until Friday, December 20th. The top ten designs will be shown for voting in January.
