NMDC Group, a leading global player in engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and marine dredging, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding [1] (MoU) with Jiangsu Juxin Petroleum Steel Pipe to explore potential collaboration. The agreement, signed during the Make it in the Emirates (MIITE) event, aligns with the UAE’s broader industrial growth strategy and strengthens bilateral cooperation between the UAE and China in the energy and manufacturing sectors.
The partnership aims to establish fabrication facilities in the UAE for metallic pipes, primarily serving the dredging sector. Jiangsu Juxin specializes in manufacturing spiral and longitudinal seam welded steel pipes, which are widely used in offshore wind turbines, bridge and port piling, dredging, high-speed rail, subway deep foundations, and various steel structure applications.
Eng. Yasser Zaghloul, CEO of NMDC Group, emphasized the necessity of collaboration in the diverse sectors the company operates in, stating that the agreement underscores the UAE’s appeal as an industrial hub for international players. He highlighted NMDC Group’s role in driving the country’s industrial ambitions and fostering economic diversification.
Eng. Niels de Bruijn, CEO of NMDC Dredging and Marine, described the alliance as a strategic synergy, combining NMDC’s expertise in marine dredging and construction with Jiangsu Juxin’s advanced steel pipe manufacturing capabilities. He noted that the partnership would deliver integrated, high-quality solutions for critical infrastructure projects worldwide, reinforcing commitments to innovation and sustainable development.
At MIITE, NMDC Group showcased its contributions to Abu Dhabi’s development and the UAE’s economic landscape. The company also announced several strategic partnerships and provided updates on its international projects, including ongoing activities in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
