A newly formed American-owned and operated solar cell and module manufacturer, NuVision Solar, has announced its entry into the US market [1]. The company plans to establish a manufacturing facility in West Palm Beach, Florida, with an annual production capacity of 2.5 gigawatts (GW) of heterojunction technology (HJT) solar cells and modules.
NuVision Solar aims to begin module production by the fourth quarter of 2025 and expects to create over 500 direct jobs. The company plans to supply the utility, large-scale commercial, and residential sectors with bifacial modules up to 800 watts, offering a 35-year performance warranty and a 20-year product warranty.
The HJT solar cells produced by NuVision Solar are known for their superior surface passivation, which allows for very high fill factor and voltage, resulting in record-high efficiency. This technology is expected to deliver enhanced power output and reduced levelized energy costs.
NuVision Solar’s modules will meet domestic content requirements, enabling end-users to qualify for an additional 10% bonus as part of the Inflation Reduction Act. The company’s leadership team brings over two decades of experience in solar cell and module manufacturing, positioning it to drive significant progress and achieve sustainable growth.
