Multi-Chain DPP for Fashion

SMART DPP has launched the world’s first multi-chain Digital Product Passport (DPP) platform, setting a new standard in fashion technology. The innovative SaaS solution leverages blockchain technology to help fashion and luxury brands enhance transparency, sustainability, and customer engagement.
The platform integrates seamlessly with existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, offering enhanced traceability and security. Supporting NFC tags, QR codes, and engagement pages, SMART DPP simplifies digital product data integration, requiring minimal technical expertise.
The announcement took place at the Digital Couture Summit during Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025. SMART DPP CEO Alexandra Maslova and Polygon Co-Founder Mihailo Bjelic showcased the platform’s multi-chain capabilities, which currently operate on Solana and Polygon, with Ethereum integration expected soon.
“SMART DPP’s expanded multi-chain integration brings unparalleled convenience and security to both brands and consumers,” Maslova said. “Our solution ensures a safe, transparent, and compliant future for the fashion industry.”
The platform is aligned with the EU’s forthcoming Digital Product Passport Regulation, set to roll out in 2027 under the European Green Deal. This legislation aims to drive sustainability and transparency across industries, making SMART DPP an early leader in regulatory compliance.
Originally launched as SEAMM at the NFC Lisbon Fashion Stage in May 2024, SMART DPP was initially built on Solana. Its transition to a multi-chain platform, now incorporating Polygon, was developed in collaboration with Kavana Lab, a Polygon ecosystem partner advancing blockchain adoption in fashion, music, and sports.
Polygon integration offers scalability via Ethereum-based Layer-2 and Layer-3 solutions, designed to meet the fashion industry’s growing demand for transparency and sustainability.
Beyond compliance, SMART DPP empowers brands with customer engagement tools such as loyalty programmes, which have been shown to boost sales by up to 70%, reduce returns, and improve conversion rates.
This transformative platform not only enhances operational efficiency but also positions brands to meet rising consumer expectations for traceability and sustainability.
