Luxury First: Dolce&Gabbana’s Beauty Hub

Dolce&Gabbana has launched its first standalone beauty and accessories store in London’s Covent Garden, reinforcing the district’s status as a prime shopping destination for luxury beauty brands.

Spanning 850 sq. ft, the boutique offers an exclusive selection of cosmetics and signature fragrances, alongside a make-up consultation service. It also introduces a curated range of accessories, including the brand’s eyewear collection, marking the first time Dolce&Gabbana has globally offered accessories in a dedicated store. This move follows the brand’s decision to take full control of its fragrance and make-up production and distribution in 2022, ending its licensing agreement with Shiseido Company.

The store’s interior embodies Dolce&Gabbana’s signature aesthetic, featuring gold panelling and monochrome tiles that reflect its distinctive Italian glamour.

This marks the brand’s fourth standalone store in central London. In July 2023, Dolce&Gabbana opened a beauty boutique in Harrods, followed by a “beauty corner” within its luxury boutique on Old Bond Street. Other locations include a flagship store on Sloane Street and a Casa furnishings boutique on Brompton Road.

The Covent Garden boutique is positioned among other luxury beauty stores, including Chanel and Tom Ford, as well as prominent cosmetics retailers like Glossier and Diptyque. The opening also signifies the brand’s return to the area, following the success of its Christmas pop-up in 2022.

William Oliver, Retail Leasing Director at Shaftesbury Capital, commented: “Dolce&Gabbana’s commitment to blending tradition with innovation makes Covent Garden the perfect location to debut a world-first concept, following in the footsteps of Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury, Glossier, and Tom Ford. Building on the noteworthy success of its pop-up in 2022, the brand has reinvested in the destination, showcasing Covent Garden’s appeal for internationally renowned fashion houses to put down permanent roots.”

With this new store, Dolce&Gabbana further cements its position in London’s luxury retail market, reaffirming its confidence in the city’s lasting allure as a global centre for high-end fashion and beauty.

Dolce&Gabbana’s expansion aligns with Covent Garden’s growing popularity among international brands. The district saw over 50 new brand investments in the past year, covering nearly 100,000 sq. ft, with Alo Yoga also set to open a store at the junction of Neal Street and Earlham Street.
