L’Oréal Names New President

L’Oréal Groupe has appointed Christina (Tina) Fair as president of its Consumer Products Division (CPD) for the North America Zone, effective Monday. She succeeds Nathalie Gerschtein, who is departing to explore new opportunities outside the company.

David Greenberg, CEO of L’Oréal USA and president of the North America Zone, expressed confidence in Fair’s leadership: “I’m thrilled that Tina will now be taking the helm of our Consumer Products Division and our extraordinary portfolio of Consumer Division beauty brands, including L’Oréal Paris, Maybelline New York, Garnier, Essie, and NYX Professional Makeup. I have seen Tina transform every business she has led, as demonstrated by the remarkable growth of the Dermatological Beauty Division under her leadership. Her strategic vision, bold decision-making, and entrepreneurial mindset position her and the division for continued success.”

Fair will report to Greenberg and Alexis Perakis-Valat, global president of the Consumer Products Division.

Since joining L’Oréal in 2008, Fair has held leadership roles within the U.S. Consumer Products Division, including senior marketing positions at Garnier and Maybelline New York. In 2015, she transitioned to global marketing for SkinCeuticals before becoming the U.S. general manager of the brand.

Most recently, since 2020, she has served as president of L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty (LDB) in the North America Zone. Under her leadership, LDB became the company’s third-largest U.S. division, with brands such as CeraVe, La Roche-Posay, SkinCeuticals, Skinbetter Science, and Vichy achieving strong sales growth and increased market share. LDB products also became top recommendations among dermatologists, paediatricians, and pharmacists.

With her expertise in brand building, strategic insight, and strong leadership, Tina Fair is poised to elevate the Consumer Products Division. Her proven ability to drive growth and innovation will be key to shaping the future of L’Oréal’s iconic consumer brands across North America.

Sustainability Efforts
L’Oréal Groupe has reinforced its commitment to sustainability through its L’Oréal for the Future programme, launched in 2020, with ambitious targets set for 2030. Key initiatives include achieving carbon neutrality across all sites by 2025, using 100% recycled or bio-based plastics in packaging by 2030, and cutting greenhouse gas emissions per finished product by 50% compared to 2016 levels.

To drive product sustainability, L’Oréal developed the Sustainable Product Optimisation Tool (SPOT), ensuring that by 2023, 96% of new or renovated products had an improved environmental and social profile. The company’s efforts have earned top recognition, securing an ‘A’ rating in all three CDP rankings—climate change, water management, and forest preservation—for eight consecutive years.
