Levi’s Names New Director

Levi Strauss & Co. announced the appointment of Artemis Patrick to its board of directors, effective 1 February. Starting 1 March, Patrick will also serve on the audit, nominating, governance, and corporate citizenship committees.

Patrick, a seasoned retail executive, currently serves as President and CEO of Sephora North America. She oversees strategy, vision, and financial performance across the United States and Canada, spearheading the division’s long-term growth initiatives.

A member of Sephora’s global leadership team and leader of its North American operating committee, Patrick has spent 19 years with the LVMH-owned beauty retailer. Her career spans key roles, including Global Merchandising Officer and Chief Merchandising Officer for Sephora Americas, before assuming her current position. She also serves on the board of Cosmetic Executive Women, championing the advancement of women in the beauty industry.

“It’s an honour to welcome Artemis Patrick to our board,” said Bob Eckert, Chairman of the LS&Co. board. “Artemis has a proven track record as a multifaceted leader, with roots in merchandising, brand building, partnerships, and e-commerce. Her deep industry and leadership expertise will be a valuable addition to our board as we continue to strengthen LS&Co.’s position in the retail and apparel industries while also furthering the company’s pivot to becoming a best-in-class omnichannel retailer.”

Patrick expressed her enthusiasm for the new role: “Growing up in San Francisco — home of Levi Strauss & Co. — I have been a fan of Levi’s® since I was a teenager. Levi’s® is the undisputed leader in denim — a global icon — that is evolving into a true lifestyle apparel brand,” said Artemis. “It’s a privilege to join the board at Levi Strauss & Co., and I look forward to working alongside this amazing team as it becomes a world-class retailer known for both its fashion and consumer experience while driving sustainable, profitable growth for the long term.”

The announcement comes as Levi Strauss & Co. continues to face market challenges. In October, the company narrowed its full-year revenue forecast to the lower end of its previous range, raising concerns about slowing demand. For the current fiscal year, net revenue is projected to grow by approximately 1%, down from the earlier estimate of 1–3%.
