Green Theme Technologies (GTT) and Golden Long John have partnered to integrate [1] cleaner and more efficient fabric dye and finishing technologies, as part of the efforts towards sustainable textile production. This collaboration aims to address the environmental impact of traditional textile manufacturing, which generates trillions of gallons of wastewater each year.
GTT, known for its waterless and PFAS-free EMPEL™ textile finishing platform, has teamed up with Golden Long John, a major textile supplier to the global footwear industry. Their partnership combines GTT’s high-performance water-repellent finish with Golden Long John’s direct dye process, resulting in a more sustainable approach to textile production.
Martin Flora, President of GTT Business Development, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating, “We believe Cleaner IS Better, and this is a big step forward for the fashion and textile industries.” The combined technologies not only reduce water pollution but also enhance the performance and longevity of textiles.
The companies will showcase their innovations at the Functional Fabric Fair in Portland, Oregon, on November 20th and 21st. Both GTT and Golden Long John have seen steady growth, with brands like Nike adopting their sustainable solutions to meet their environmental goals.
This partnership highlights the growing trend of integrating sustainability into luxury design, aiming to create a cleaner and more efficient future for the fashion and textile industries.
