American cashmere label Guest In Residence, founded and helmed by supermodel Gigi Hadid, has launched a limited-edition collaboration with Atlanta-based designer Nigel Xavier—winner of Netflix’s Next in Fashion Season 2 and renowned for his intricate patchwork and textile manipulation.
The exclusive capsule collection, available only at the brand’s Bond Street flagship in New York City, features one-of-a-kind hoodies and beanies made from upcycled Guest In Residence cashmere. Each piece reflects the duo’s shared values of sustainability, craftsmanship, and intentional design.
Hadid commented: “Our brand ethos is rooted in conscious design to create heirloom pieces that last for generations to come. Nigel shares this vision with authentic craftsmanship and a deep commitment to sustainability. It’s exciting to see our collaboration come to life—true ‘funky classics’ that celebrate the essence of intentional design.”
Xavier approached the creative process by categorising repurposed materials by weight, colour, pattern, and texture before constructing patchwork hoodies. The resulting silhouette is oversized, boxy, and cropped—designed in a single unisex size to ensure a universal fit. He then used the remaining material to craft matching beanies, which can be styled individually or as a set.
“Gigi is not only a supermodel, entrepreneur and style icon—she’s someone who understands the art of fashion. Our capsule collection authentically reflects our shared values: Gigi’s commitment to premium-quality cashmere and my ethos of upcycling and sustainability,” Xavier said. “We’ve brought together reconstructed and repurposed materials to make something genuine and meaningful—each piece tells a story through fabric, craftsmanship, and creativity,” he added.
The Guest In Residence x Nigel Xavier collection is priced between $250 and $1,000 and is available exclusively in-store at Guest In Residence, Bond Street, NYC.
