Finisterre Grows Retail Footprint

Cornwall-based sustainable clothing and accessories brand Finisterre is set to expand its retail presence in 2025 with three new UK stores in Cambridge, Cardiff, and Poole. This follows a landmark 2024, during which the brand launched a London flagship at 47-49 Neal Street, spanning 2,702 square feet, alongside openings in Brighton and Holt, as well as its first North American store in partnership with Maine Surfers Union in Portland, Maine.

The first of the new openings will be in Cambridge at 23-24 Sidney Street. The 2,300-square-foot store, launching at the end of March, is designed to serve the city’s active outdoor community, offering a curated selection of Finisterre’s sustainable products and repair services.

In April, Finisterre will establish its first Welsh store in Cardiff at 27-29 Royal Arcade. Spanning 2,100 square feet, the store will introduce the brand’s cold-water surf heritage to a new audience in the city centre.

May will see the opening of Finisterre’s second-largest UK store in Poole. Located at 8a Parr Street, the 2,500-square-foot space will cater to the South Coast’s watersports and outdoor enthusiasts, offering a broad range of performance wear and eco-conscious products.

Chief Executive Will Sheane stated: “These three new locations are an important step in Finisterre’s broader retail strategy. Expanding into key cities like Cambridge, Cardiff, and Poole enables us to strengthen our brand presence and connect with a diverse customer base. Each store represents a strategic opportunity to grow the Finisterre community while meeting the increasing demand for high-quality, functional outdoor wear.”

Finisterre expands its UK presence with new stores in Cambridge, Cardiff, and Poole, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and performance-driven design. After a milestone year in 2024, this growth reflects rising demand for eco-conscious apparel and the brand’s dedication to building a community of outdoor enthusiasts. As it evolves, Finisterre remains focused on quality, functionality, and sustainability—core values that continue to resonate with its expanding customer base. Once the new stores are operational, Finisterre will have 14 UK locations and is actively exploring further expansion beyond 2025.

Further strengthening its sustainability commitment, Finisterre has made regenerative organic cotton the foundation of its Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Over 75% of its T-shirt range will be crafted from regeneratively farmed organic cotton, advancing the brand’s mission to champion lower-impact natural fibres that support thriving ecosystems.

Founded in 2003 by British surfer Tom Kay, Finisterre began with an innovative fleece designed to combat cold winds and warm bodies. Since then, it has evolved into a B-Corp-certified brand offering responsibly made menswear, womenswear, accessories, swimwear, and wetsuits. The brand’s name is inspired by Cape Finisterre—Spain’s answer to Cornwall’s Land’s End—both symbolic of rugged, windswept adventure.
