Founded in 2018, Fairly Made® is a French green technology scale-up reshaping the fashion industry through transparency, sustainability, and ethical accountability. By delivering advanced, data-driven solutions, the company enables brands to trace the origins of their materials, assess environmental and social impacts, and enforce fair labour standards. Its mission is to drive responsible sourcing and circular practices, helping businesses reduce waste, adopt sustainable inputs, and communicate progress with credibility.
Building on this foundation, at the core of Fairly Made’s offering is a robust SaaS platform that embeds sustainability across every stage of the product lifecycle. The platform’s traceability function captures detailed supply chain data through a dedicated supplier interface, ensuring that brands meet both current regulatory demands and upcoming legislative requirements. Integrated Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) allow companies to quantify environmental and social impacts, enabling strategic, data-informed decision-making. During the design phase, the platform provides ecodesign simulation tools that help teams optimise product sustainability in real time. To close the loop with consumers, Fairly Made generates Digital Product Passports—scannable QR codes and interactive widgets that deliver transparent, product-specific sustainability information.
In response to growing regulatory pressures, a major focus of the company is supporting brands in complying with France’s AGEC Law (Anti-Waste for a Circular Economy), particularly Article 13, which mandates that textile companies disclose detailed product data at the point of sale. Fairly Made addresses this need through a streamlined, fully managed compliance solution. This includes expert-led supply chain traceability, engagement with a global network of over 15,000 manufacturers, and consumer-facing Digital Product Passports that communicate verified sustainability claims. This integrated approach not only simplifies regulatory compliance but also reinforces brand credibility in an increasingly scrutinised industry.
As a result of its proven impact and compliance expertise, Fairly Made is now a trusted partner to over 100 international brands and luxury houses, including LVMH, Fendi, Versace, Karl Lagerfeld, and SMCP. Its platform is instrumental in helping these companies navigate regulatory complexity while advancing measurable improvements in ethical sourcing, circularity, and supply chain transparency. The company’s success lies in its ability to merge cutting-edge technology with deep industry expertise, positioning it as a leader in the transition towards a more accountable fashion ecosystem.
Despite these achievements, the industry remains hampered by fragmented data, shifting regulatory landscapes, and institutional inertia. Fairly Made is tackling these challenges head-on by expanding its global presence, enhancing platform capabilities through advanced analytics, and working closely with industry stakeholders to drive standardisation in sustainability metrics. Future developments include accelerating the adoption of circular practices and pushing for broader industry alignment around traceability and impact measurement.
In line with its commitment to shaping policy as well as practice, and in partnership with the French government, Fairly Made is also playing a central role in the rollout of a mandatory eco-score for textile products, due to take effect in 2025. This regulation will apply to all brands operating in the French market, including fast-fashion giants like Shein. By helping shape and implement this policy, Fairly Made is reinforcing its leadership in regulatory readiness and sector-wide transformation.
With this momentum, and through its focus on innovation, regulation, and strategic collaboration, Fairly Made is actively raising the bar for sustainability and ethics in fashion. By equipping brands with the tools and insights needed to lead with transparency and purpose, the company is setting a new standard for environmental and social accountability in the global apparel industry.
