Envalior Green Future Vision

Envalior, a global leader in sustainable high-performance engineering materials, has announced its new Sustainability Ambitions and its commitment to the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. These efforts are central to the company’s strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and expand its circular portfolio.
Envalior’s key sustainability goals include achieving 100% renewable electricity by 2030, cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 75% by 2030, and reaching net-zero emissions by 2040. Additionally, by 2030, the company aims to offer a full portfolio of bio-based and recycled alternatives.
“Sustainability is at the core of our strategy, and we are determined to make our commitment clear to the world,” said Günter Margraf, Director of Sustainability at Envalior. “Achieving these ambitious goals will drive the significant transformation ahead and help our customers advance their sustainability efforts.”
By joining the United Nations Global Compact, Envalior has aligned itself with the ten universal principles promoting human rights, labour standards, environmental stewardship, and anti-corruption. As a signatory, the company is dedicated to upholding these principles and will report annually on its progress.
Calum McLean, CEO of Envalior, stated: “We are proud to support the United Nations Global Compact and its principles. Integrating this commitment into our strategy, culture, and daily operations will enable us to engage in collaborative projects that contribute to the UN’s broader development goals.”
Envalior’s efforts to achieve 100% renewable electricity by 2030 directly support SDG 7. Initiatives such as renewable power purchase agreements and solar panel installations are making the company’s energy consumption cleaner, while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions, addressing SDG 13. Envalior’s nitrous oxide reduction plant in Antwerp, Belgium, contributes significantly to these efforts, reducing approximately 450,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent each year. (1)
