The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has officially announced the preliminary program for New York Fashion Week (NYFW) Fall/Winter 2025. The highly anticipated event will take place from Thursday, February 6, to Tuesday, February 11, 2025, and will include over 52 runway shows and designer presentations, as well as extra collections presented digitally and by appointment.
Renowned designer Brandon Maxwell will open the American collections, with CFDA Chairman Thom Browne closing the week.
This season, renowned fashion houses return, including 5000, Anna Sui, Carolina Herrera, Christian Siriano, Coach, Michael Kors Collection, Prabal Gurung, Tory Burch, and Ulla Johnson. Additionally, brands like Altuzarra, Christopher John Rogers, and Norma Kamali, will make their return to the runway, alongside Calvin Klein Collection, now under the creative direction of Veronica Leon.
NYFW Fall-Winter 2025 will welcome several first-time additions, such as Alexis Bittar, Gabe Gordon, LEBLANCSTUDIOS by Yamil Arbaje and Angelo Beato, Vettese, and Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen.
A special highlight of the season will be the GQ Bowl, a live-streamed red carpet event in New Orleans. As part of the showcase, GQ and designer Emily Adams Bode Aujla will unveil the Bode Rec. Spring 2025 collection, accompanied by a musical performance featuring models, athletes, and celebrity guests.
Joseph Maglieri, CFDA’s Director of Fashion Week Initiatives, emphasized “NYFW serves as the premier opportunity for designers and brands to tell their story and share their work in ways that speak to their communities and business needs. This upcoming season represents themes we see across the industry: calibration and innovation. It reminds us of the importance of brand sovereignty and stamina, and the significance of remaining authentic to where they are now in order to plan for where they want to be in the future.”
Since acquiring the Fashion Calendar in 2014, the CFDA has been the sole organizer of the Official NYFW Schedule, ensuring that the event remains the leading platform for American fashion. As NYFW approaches, the industry eagerly anticipates a season of creativity, innovation, and global collaboration.
