BP has outlined measures it is taking to maintain energy supplies amid ongoing disruptions in global oil and gas markets.
The company said it is coordinating activities across production, refining, trading, shipping, and retail operations to help balance supply and demand. Refineries in Europe and the United States have increased production of fuels such as diesel and jet fuel to address market requirements.
One example cited by BP involved the delivery of an additional 50 million liters of diesel to Sydney following supply disruptions in Australia. The company also worked with the Australian government to secure additional fuel cargoes to support energy security.
BP said its airport fuel operations and logistics teams continue to support customers in regions experiencing market pressures, while maintaining a focus on safe and reliable operations.
The company also reported strong operational performance in key production regions, including increased output in the North Sea and the United States.
Why it matters for green steel: It highlights the importance of supply-chain resilience and operational flexibility during periods of energy market disruption. As industries continue to face energy security challenges, reliable fuel and energy supplies remain an important consideration for industrial operations and economic activity.
