The 17th edition of the Bangladesh Denim Expo has successfully concluded at the International Convention City Bashundhara in Dhaka. The expo was held on November 4th and 5th, 2024. The expo was organized by Bangladesh Apparel Exchange and had over 45 exhibitors from seven countries. This year’s expo was under the theme “A Blue New World.” The Denim Expo emphasized the importance of innovation and sustainability in the fashion industry, with a focus on eco-friendly practices and responsible sourcing.
The expo featured cutting-edge denim products, fabrics, accessories, chemicals, and technologies. In addition to the exhibitions, the two-day event featured internationally recognized experts.

Bangladesh local media, Jagon News reported that the First Counsellor of the EU Delegation to Bangladesh, Edwin Koekkoek, spoke on environmental standards in Bangladesh, emphasizing the priority of decarbonization in the industry. Bangladesh’s Shin Shin Group chairman, Mohammad Sohel Sadat, also noted that sustainability in manufacturing is evolving. He stressed the importance of educating entrepreneurs and workers on social sustainability practices.
This Bangladesh Denim Expo 2024 welcomed over 5,543 visitors from 56 countries, offering an international outlook on the industry trends, sustainability, and the path forward for the denim sector in Bangladesh.
