AGSI & Trojan Join Forces to Boost Green Construction in UAE with Low-Carbon Steel

Arabian Gulf Steel Industries (AGSI) has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Trojan Construction Group to fast-track the use of low-carbon materials and eco-friendly construction methods in the UAE. The agreement was signed at Make it in the Emirates 2025, underscoring the two companies’ shared dedication to supporting the UAE’s decarbonisation goals and promoting sustainable development.

Under the MoU, Trojan Construction Group will incorporate AGSI’s low-carbon steel, manufactured from locally sourced recycled materials, into its future projects, significantly reducing embodied carbon emissions while advancing circular economy principles. Beyond material supply, the partnership establishes a collaborative framework for R&D, performance tracking, and industry upgrading, amplifying its impact across operational sustainability, technological innovation, and workforce advancement.

Asam Hussain, Chief Executive Officer of AGSI, stated that, “Trojan is a leader in the UAE’s construction sector, and this collaboration is an example of how industrial and infrastructure players can align to deliver real, measurable sustainability outcomes.

“At AGSI, we’ve built our entire model around local sourcing, circularity, and carbon reduction, and partnerships like this are how those principles scale across the value chain. We look forward to supporting Trojan’s ESG commitments through both product and innovation, and to contributing together to the UAE’s broader Net Zero and industrial goals,” he added.

The company’s established sustainability practices enhance Trojan’s capacity to comply with both international and regional standards. By providing verified emissions data and reliable reporting systems, this partnership fosters a joint effort to monitor environmental impact and carbon footprint reduction in Trojan’s construction initiatives, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the supply chain.

Additionally, it aligns with Trojan’s ICV goals and advances national sustainability targets. Together, they aim to pioneer innovative and scalable approaches that shape the future of sustainable building practices in the UAE.
